North Korean leader Kim Jong-un arrives in Russia

Today, North Korea’s infamous leader, Kim Jong-un, crossed the border between North Korea and Russia by train. He was warmly welcomed by Russian officials at a Russian train station, capturing the world’s attention.

Anticipation is rising as it is expected that Kim Jong-un will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in the coming days. The discussions between the two leaders are believed to revolve around critical issues, including the supply of weapons and humanitarian food aid. Russia, involved in the Ukrainian war, is in urgent need of North Korean weapons, while North Korea is grappling with a severe food shortage.

The exact location of the meeting has not been officially confirmed. Although initial speculations suggested that the meeting would take place in Vladivostok, where President Putin is attending an economic summit this week, this remains unconfirmed. However, some Russian media outlets suggest that Kim Jong-un may be heading to the Vostochny Cosmodrome, located in the far east of Russia. The coming days will undoubtedly provide more clarity on the crucial developments between the two world leaders.
