Lithuania ready to fund infrastructure for German soldiers families

Lithuania has expressed its willingness to finance the development of infrastructure for the families of German soldiers who will be stationed in the country. This announcement was made by Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda.

President Nauseda emphasized that Lithuania is prepared to utilize its resources to create comfortable conditions for German soldiers and their families. This commitment underscores Lithuania’s role as a host country for a significant portion of Germany’s military capabilities.

Earlier this year, Germany revealed plans for the permanent deployment of a 4,000-strong brigade in Lithuania, contingent upon the country establishing the necessary infrastructure and alignment with NATO’s broader objectives. In the event of extended rotations, German troops will arrive in Lithuania alongside their families, further cementing the bonds between the two nations.
